where do you get such good condition pallets? All the pallets I find havenasty wood and been beat to hell and almost falling apart.

I used to export pine logs from Australia to China and we had to fumigate 25+ 40 foot containers a day, on bigger scale they fill the hull of a cargo ship full of logs and pump around 8 Ton's of MB into the ships hull while sealed.

what about beach(drift) wood? have you tried making anything out of that?

Just to give you some information, a majority of pallets are completely rotted and barely salvageable. Using a pallet remover splits the wood

I have only just started working with pallets to do the exact thing to make some cash. I’ve worked on farms all my working life so far and I’m sick of making everyone one else rich while I just get by. I know this woodworking is not going to make me rich but if I can make a bit extra money it will help. Haven’t made anything to sell yet but hope to do that soon. Thanks again for the help.

Cant wait to see it! Im working on a pallet wood bench myself. The wood I'm using has termite tunnels all through it. I left them on purpose to try something different; I think it's gonna be beautiful! Cant wait to finish it and post it but I've got orders to fill first 😮‍💨

Easiest 2 hour video I've watched since forever :) Still trying to "Just Get Started" here, space and equipment are at a premium where I am but the main thing I have to get through is my mental health barrier of starting a new hobby. With my chemical based depression I've stopped so many hobbies I've enjoyed and some I wasn't too bad at doing so it's the dread of starting something I'm really interested in doing and then the dark cloud deciding it's not for me anymore. Hopefully one day I'll Get Started, not as a side hustle, I just want to make nice things and give them to people, not like the tables I don't have Elon money lol just as little gifts or something like that :) Much love from way over the pond in the UK and keep up the amazing videos :)

Hope you tested the moisture content of the logs first don’t want mold growth

They use to hav belt sander races at work when i first started 2 sìde by side a long extension cord our shop floor was timber they sat on them and balanced somehow squeezed the trigger and off they went good old makitas from 1994 vintage
